Period Property Renovation Project

Cotswold Outhouse Restoration & Conversion Chalford, The Cotswolds

Situated within the picturesque village of Chalford in the heart of the Cotswolds, this project involved the complete restoration and transformation of an existing period outhouse into a beautifully finished and highly functional living space.

Particular care was taken to preserve the property's original character while introducing contemporary comforts and luxury finishes. A bespoke mezzanine floor was carefully constructed to maximise the available space, creating additional accommodation while maintaining the building's unique architectural charm.

The restoration process included the careful preservation and enhancement of the existing oak beams, allowing these original features to remain a defining element of the finished interior. The bathroom was completed using premium Lusso Stone sanitaryware and fittings, providing a luxurious and timeless finish that complements the property's heritage character.

Elegant Beswick Stone wall tiles were selected to bring texture and sophistication to key areas, while Luxury Vinyl Tile flooring was installed throughout the ground floor to provide durability without compromising on aesthetics. The mezzanine level was finished with a luxurious soft carpet, creating a warm and inviting retreat within the property.

To complete the transformation, the entire space was decorated using Farrow & Ball paints, chosen for their depth of colour, quality and ability to enhance the building's original features. The finished result successfully blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary luxury, creating a stunning Cotswold property that respects its heritage while meeting the demands of modern living.
